They Are Back: Up‑Close Animal Encounters!

Just in time for the holidays, Georgia Aquarium is relaunching several of its beloved animal encounter programs, giving guests the chance to get closer than ever to some of their favorite aquatic friends.

Imagine stepping behind the scenes to:

  • Meet the trainers who care for these animals every day
  • Learn how the Aquarium rescues, researches, and protects marine life
  • Participate in a training or feeding session (in select encounters!)
  • Walk away with a souvenir photo and a memory your family will talk about for years

From playful penguins to gentle giants, these encounters are unforgettable, educational, and absolutely magical.

Note: Encounters have age, height, and/or weight requirements. Be sure to review all details before booking.

Remember Accessibility Matters

Georgia Aquarium strives to make these experiences available to as many guests as possible. If someone in your family needs special accommodations, the team will make every effort to assist. Just call the Aquarium’s Call Center at (404) 581‑4000 to plan your visit.
