Happy February, Good People!

February is rolling in on Sunday, so let’s dive right into the magic of this mighty month. Every month brings its own beauty. February is packed with cultural celebrations, which give us the perfect chance to share with and teach our children about the big, bright world beyond their own neighborhoods. From Black History Month to Groundhog Day, Lunar New Year, Valentine’s Day, World Cancer Day, and so many more.  Each one is an invitation to explore, learn, and grow together. My parents opened those doors for me, and I am forever grateful. Now it’s our turn to pass that gift on.

Black History Month, of course, is bigger than 28 days; it’s a living, breathing celebration which spans centuries and continues shaping our world. If you are looking for a fun place to start, check out 28daysofblackhistory.com for bite‑sized facts and inspiration. This year’s theme, “A Century of Black History Commemorations,” is a beautiful reminder of how far we have come and how much more there is to honor. And keep an eye out because I will be sharing Atlanta Black History gems beyond our beloved Dr. King.

We have plenty of special days sprinkled throughout the month, and many will be added to the calendar, so peek in often. And if you know of an event I should include, send it my way. Your submissions truly help our community shine.

February is going to be full of fun, learning, and family moments. I have got some surprises planned just for you. This is only the beginning, so buckle up and enjoy the ride!

With joy,
Kimberly~
