If you know a young leader with big ideas and a passion for making a difference, this is their moment. Georgia’s House Page Program is opening its doors, and State Representative Phil Olaleye is inviting youth ages 12–18 to step inside the heart of state government for an unforgettable, hands‑on experience.
This is more than a field trip. Consider this a front‑row seat to democracy in action.
🏛️ What Is the House Page Program?
The House Page Program gives students a rare chance to:
- Visit the Georgia State Capitol and explore the historic halls where decisions are made
- Shadow Rep. Phil Olaleye and other state lawmakers throughout the day
- Observe the legislative process up close, from debates to votes
- Share their own hopes, concerns, and ideas directly with the leaders shaping our community
For teens who are curious, outspoken, creative, or simply eager to learn how government works, this experience can spark a lifelong interest in leadership, advocacy, and/or public service.
✨ Why This Matters
Opportunities like this help young people see their voices matter. They learn government is not something happening to them, it is something they can be a vital part of. Whether they aspire to become an elected official, a lobbyist, a community organizer, a lawyer, or simply a more informed citizen, this program serves as a powerful stepping stone.
