Atlanta families, get ready to unwrap a holiday tradition as sweet as hot cocoa and as timeless as twinkling lights! Madeline’s Christmas is back at Horizon Theatre, celebrating its 15th joyous year of spreading cheer, laughter, and holiday magic. Performances kick off Saturday, December 6th, with shows at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., and continue all the way through December 31st, 2025.
✨ A Beloved Holiday Favorite
This heartwarming musical, adapted from Ludwig Bemelmans’ classic children’s book, is a collaboration between Horizon Theatre and Atlanta Children’s Theatre. With catchy tunes, whimsical sets inspired by Paris, and a story full of charm, it’s a holiday treat for audiences of all ages.
This year’s production features 24 talented local girls (ages 8–13) performing alongside professional actors, bringing Madeline and her classmates to life magically and memorably. Over the past 15 years, more than 360 local girls have had the chance to shine on stage through making this show a true community tradition.
🎭 The Story
December in Paris, and after a trip to the zoo, “achoo!” echoes through the halls of the old house. All but Madeline have caught the flu! Will the girls make it home for Christmas? With the help of a mysterious stranger, Madeline leads her friends on a holiday adventure filled with surprises, joy, and unforgettable holiday memories.
🎅 Family Fun Beyond the Curtain
Horizon Theatre’s intimate setting makes every audience member feel a part of the story. After each show, families can meet the cast, snap photos, and create keepsake memories which last long after the curtain falls. Concessions and Madeline merchandise will be available, including $10 Star Wands which benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
