Grab your gloves, rally your neighbors, and get ready to make history through Plantlanta 2025. Plantlanta is happening THIS WEEKEND, and it’s bigger than ever! With 700 trees to plant across 12 City Council Districts, this is Atlanta’s largest tree-planting event of the year and you are invited to be part of the legacy.

🎉 Celebrating 40 Years of Greening Atlanta

This year marks a major milestone: 40 years of Trees Atlanta planting, protecting, and celebrating our urban forest. Plantlanta returns for its 10th annual celebration, bringing together hundreds of volunteers to transform neighborhoods, one tree at a time.

Why do we plant? Because trees do more than beautify. Trees do so much more.  They cool our streets, clean our air, boost mental health, and connect communities. Every tree planted this weekend is a gift to future generations. 🌿

🛠️ What to Expect

Whether you are a seasoned volunteer or a first-time planter, Plantlanta is a hands-on, heart-filled experience. You will be:

  • Digging holes with shovels and mattocks.
  • Untangling roots and placing young trees with care.
  • Mulching, watering, and tidying up your site.
  • Sweating a little, smiling a lot, and making a real impact!

Bring a friend, meet new neighbors, and explore a new part of the city while doing something meaningful.
