๐ฑ What Is Youth Tree Team?
Hosted by Trees Atlanta, the Youth Tree Team (YTT) is a dynamic, hands-on program designed for high school students who want to explore careers in environmental stewardship, community forestry, landscape design, and more. It’s not just a job, it’s a movement to keep Atlanta thriving as the “City in the Forest.”
Participants work side-by-side with Trees Atlanta staff on real-world projects like:
- ๐ฟ Weeding, mulching, pruning, and planting along the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum and in local neighborhoods.
- ๐ Learning how trees help fight climate change and improve community health.
- ๐ผ Building job-seeking skills and financial literacy through weekly development workshops.
- ๐ค Connecting with green collar professionals and mentors.
๐ผ Who Can Apply?
If you are currently enrolled in high school or about to start, and you will be 14 years old or older by May 1, 2026, you are eligible to apply as a Youth Tree Team Member. There is also a Senior Lead role available for adults 21+ who want to mentor and supervise the team.

๐ณ Volunteer Tree Planting – February 28, 2026 (Saturday, subject to change)
๐ค Interviews & Selection – March 6, 2026 to April 10, 2026
Program Dates:
๐ June 1, 2026 to July 17, 2026
๐ข Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM
๐ต Starting Pay: $12/hour
This is a highly competitive program, so be sure to fully complete every step of the application process. Not all applicants will be selected; however, every effort counts!
