Zoo Atlanta just turned up the adventure dial with the launch of its all-new Safari Express aboard the Norfolk Southern Zoo Train and trust us, this is no ordinary ride! Officially rolling out on August 28, 2025, this reimagined experience invites guests of all ages to hop aboard and discover the wild world of animal superpowers.
🦁 Meet Skylar, Your Safari Guide
Your journey begins with Skylar, the Zoo’s enthusiastic guest conductor, who narrates your ride with fascinating animal facts and fun surprises. From the long-necked grace of giraffes to the stealthy strength of lions, Skylar connects kids (and grown-ups!) to the incredible talents that help animals survive and thrive. You might even leave inspired to think about your own superpowers!
🌿 Eco-Friendly, Family-Approved
The Safari Express features a smooth electric engine, spacious seating, and covered coaches tht are perfect for relaxing while soaking in the sights. It’s a comfortable, eco-conscious way to explore the Zoo and spark curiosity about the animal kingdom.

Want to keep the adventure going? Grab an All-Day Rides Wristband for unlimited rides on the day of your visit. Wristbands are discounted for Zoo Members and valid with general admission. Single rides are just $4 + tax, and children 2 and under ride free with a paying adult.

- Weekends: 10:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Guidelines:
- Riders must be dry. Bring a towel if you are visiting Splash Fountain!
- Wristbands must be worn properly and riders must return to the line for each ride.
- Tickets are required for ages 3 and up.
