Get ready to unleash your wild side this Saturday, August 30th, at one of Zoo Atlanta’s most beloved events! Come Play the Animal Way! From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., families are invited to explore the fascinating world of animal enrichment, where creativity meets care in the most colorful and curious ways.
Throughout the day, animals across the Zoo from the lions and lemurs to the meerkats and maras will be engage with puzzles, scents, and surprises designed to stimulate their minds and bodies. It’s a behind-the-scenes peek at how Zoo Atlanta keeps its residents active, healthy, and happy year-round.
However the fun is not just for the animals. Guests can join in with hands-on activity stations located along Tembo Trek, the Takamenda Gorilla Deck, and the Main Spine. Ever wanted to paint like an elephant, scavenge like a vulture, or forage like a gorilla? Well what better time than now. Trust and believe now is your chance!
🦁 Enrichment Encounters All Day Long
The excitement kicks off early with enrichment sessions starting at 9 a.m. Here is just a taste of what is in store:
- 9:00 a.m. – Hoofstock, reptiles, birds, naked mole rats, red pandas, lions, and more.
- 9:30 a.m. – Elephants and monkeys.
- 10:00 a.m. – Meerkats, gorillas, Patagonian maras.
- 11:00–11:45 a.m. – Lappet-faced vultures, Komodo dragons, golden lion tamarins.
- 1:30–2:45 p.m. – Otters, sun bears, tigers, lemurs, kunekune pigs, and gorillas.
The World of Wild Theater will also feature enrichment activities throughout the day.
